Happy Valentine's Day to those that celebrate it! I am doing nothing today and honestly am kinda happy about it—I've had doctor appointments and other things to deal with all week. On Sunday I am going to Chicago for work, as well.

Burger, fries, and shake from Shake Shack |
What I've been up to this week:
- Dining out/getting takeout. Last Friday, I worked at the office, so a friend and I got Sweetgreen (pricey salads, but delicious) for lunch, and I also stopped at Paris Baguette. For dinner that night, I got my husband and I takeout from Pink Garlic, our favorite Indian place. On Saturday night, I did game night with a friend and her husband, and we got Shake Shake takeout—they're doing a deal every day through March, from 2-5pm daily you can get a free shake (~$6.50 value) if you spend $10+ at an in-store kiosk or in the app, so we were scrambling to get our app orders in by 4:55pm, lol. The code for that is SWEETSPOT, and I have a few other Shake Shack deals on my FB deal group right now, too.
On Sundays, I normally see my parents, but didn't this week, and we got Doordash from Big Dip Burgers (ironically, right near them)—their cheese curds are just okay but their onion rings and burgers are really good. On Tuesday, I had to go to my condo (more on that below) and I got us 2941 Street Food for lunch—I had been craving it for a while, and there aren't any super close to where I live now, the Telegraph one where I went is maybe a 15 min. drive—and Crispelli's for dinner with a friend. - Dealing with condo stuff. I haven't sold my condo yet, and I went there Friday after work to check on it and drop off my HOA check ... and the furnace was making weird noises. Thankfully, I have a contract plan with Consumer's Energy, so I called them and made an appt. for Tuesday morning. The tech was supposed to come down sometime 9am to 1pm, and called me at 8am to say he'd be there by 8:25 am, lol ... probably a good thing, because he was there for about three hours, and now it's working fine.
- Seeing Come From Away at the Fisher. I had seen this show the last time it was in town, which I guess was Oct. 2019 according to my blog posts, and remembered being blown away by how good it was. This year's iteration was more of the same, and I highly recommend it—it's in town until this Sunday, February 16th.
- Watching movies. Yesterday, I watched the new Bridget Jones movie, on Peacock, which was fun—I'd probably give it 3.5/5 stars—and the original one, from 2001, which I'd give 4/5 stars. I plan on rewatching movies #2 and #3 too, they are all on Max, although I've heard the original was the best one. I also went to the theater yesterday to see Love Hurts, which I really liked—it was like a funnier version of Kill Bill, almost—but oddly, it only has like 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'd honestly give that movie 4/5 or 4.5/5, and Ke Huy Quan was great as the lead character.
- Re-trying out Kroger pickup. When the pandemic first started, I used to do Kroger pickup all of the time, because they were waiving the $4.95 pickup fee. I think they brought the fee back in like 2021 or so, but if you spend $35+ on groceries/etc. there, it's still free. A friend told me about a soda deal they had, where it was buy two 12-packs (of the 12-oz. cans) and get three free, so we did that on Saturday and I went again on Monday. Both times that location (Orchard Lake Rd. area) was very fast and efficient, which was great.
