The Friday Five, 1/25/19: 5 things I've been up to this week

I don't want to jinx myself, but my cough is slowly going away. I'm on prednisone until Sunday, though, so after that we'll see if that's the glue that's been holding me together or not.

What I've been up to this week:
  1. Seeing movies. On Sunday, I saw A Dog's Way Home, which was kind of dumb, although the dog in it was really cute—I'd give it 2.5/5 stars. On Wednesday, my boyfriend and I saw Glass, which I had been looking forward to despite the subpar reviews. I'd give that one 3.5/5 stars—it's not as good as its predecessors (Unbreakable and Split) but still worth seeing. I'm hoping to see On the Basis of Sex on Sunday but we'll see if I have time.
  2. Eating out and cooking. Last Saturday I was supposed to go to a friend's Korean BBQ birthday get-together, but wasn't feeling great, so we did takeout pizza instead. On Sunday, my boyfriend took me to Osaka, in Clawson, for a belated birthday celebration, since I was out of town on my actual birthday; it was good but I've had better hibachi (Sakura, in Troy, is better, IMO). On Wednesday, two friends and I met up at Grand Traverse Pie since it was National Pie Day, and we received a free slice of pie with our meals; for dinner, my boyfriend and I were thinking of Royal Oak Brewery, to use my free birthday meal, but instead we didn't have time so we ended up at Shake Shack. I've also been cooking Home Chef meals and some Blue Apron meals.
  3. Enjoying my new watch. Check out my post about my new JORD watch (as pictured above) if you haven't already, and enter to win $100 towards a JORD watch of your own!
  4. Trying to get lots of rest. I usually go to sleep around 11:45pm every night, since I wake up at 7:45am for work, but earlier this week I was going to bed around 9 and 10pm, to try and shake this cold.
  5. Screwing up my meal service deliveries. I realized yesterday that I had accidentally scheduled an EveryPlate delivery for THIS FRIDAY, when I meant to schedule it for Friday, February 1st ... oops. That means that I had received a Blue Apron delivery on Tuesday and will be receiving EveryPlate TOMORROW, so I will be doing a lot of cooking this weekend and the next week. I usually keep pretty good track of what services I am receiving on what date, but for some reason it didn't click with me that 1/25 does not = 2/1 ...
