I was in Rhode Island until Tuesday this week, and then I've been working the rest of the week. I have some fun plans tonight and this weekend though, and I'm hoping to get a bit more sleep, as well.

What I've been up to this week:
- Seeing a musical. On Saturday, my aunt and I went and saw Mamma Mia! at Theatre-by-the-Sea, in Wakefield, RI. The musical was great and the venue was super unique, too: it's an old barn that they've converted into a theater.
- Seeing movies. Last week, I saw Gotti, which was about average but pretty interesting since I didn't know much about John Gotti - I'd give it 3/5 stars. Last night I saw The First Purge, which I would give 3.5/5 stars - I'm a big fan of all of the Purge movies, since I love dystopian movies (and could-be-real-life dystopian is also fascinating). Check out my previous Purge reviews here.
- Cooking. I ordered a Hello Fresh box for my aunt and I while I was visiting her in Rhode Island, and I also received one this week. I made honey-glazed pork tenderloin this week, and last week we made pork and basil stir-fry, steak tacos, and creamy dill chicken. Next week I'm trying out Sunbasket for the first time, which is a healthier version of Hello Fresh.
- Visiting family. Most of my extended family lives in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, so it is nice to be able to see them when I visit the East Coast. I took the Mazda3 down to Massachusetts for a day and saw a blogger friend as well as my mom's side of the family (my aunt and uncle and their kids and spouses), and I was able to see most of my 1st cousins in Rhode Island this week too.
- Visiting the beach! We have beaches in Michigan, but there's nothing like the ocean and East Coast beaches. On Monday one of my cousins and I went to the South Kingstown Town Beach, aka Matunuck Beach, and it was nice to sit outside for a while, even though I definitely got burnt.
