Another busy week in the books, and it shall continue to be busy until I leave for Rhode Island on Tuesday night, to visit family there.
My boyfriend and I went to the Fennville/Grand Haven area for a quick 24-hour stay, and we stayed at the Hop & Vine Inn (review
here). Grand Haven is one of my favorite Michigan cities so that was a nice treat too.

Grand Haven new "catwalk" - they bulldozed the old one |
What I've been up to this week:
- Traveling. As I mentioned, we took a quick trip to Fennville and also Grand Haven, mostly because I had a comped (blogger) one-night stay at the Hop & Vine Inn, which was super cute - I want to stay there again sometime soon. One of my favorite restaurants in that area is The Southerner, for fried chicken, and we went there for dinner that Friday night.
- Seeing movies. I feel like I write this in *every* Friday Five, but this week I've seen a lot of movies. On Sunday, I saw The Incredibles 2, which was cute (3.5/5 from me), and on Tuesday I saw Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (also 3.5/5 stars from me). On Wednesday, I actually went to a screening of Sicario: Day of the Soldado (check out my review, which is up today) and on Saturday night I plan on seeing TAG.
- Cooking more meal delivery kits. On Sunday night, we cooked the last Blue Apron meal, pork chops agrodolce, and on Tuesday, I had my first Dinnerly meal delivered. Dinnerly is less expensive than the other meal kits I've tried—it retails for $38.95 per week ($30 plus $8.95 shipping), and you can get your first box for $30. Although both of the meals I've cooked so far from it have been delicious, they forgot the za'atar spice ... in the *za'atar* chicken recipe ... so that was a fail. I contacted customer support and they gave me $5 towards my next box, which isn't much, but I'll probably use it.
- Lots of doctor appointments. I had two this week (both "well"/annual visits) plus had to get bloodwork ... lots of fun.
- Posting a ton of blog giveaways. Have you checked them out yet? You can enter to win a three-pack of Grow Fragrance air fresheners (ends 7/4), Barry: Season 1 digital download (ends 7/3), and the movie Alex & Me on Blu-ray (ends 7/2).
