Grand opening: Sevenco co-working space in Troy, MI {and a giveaway!}

This past Wednesday, I was able to check out the new Sevenco (pronounced "Seven co") co-working space in Troy. I had never really been to a co-working space before, so it was interesting to walk around and see all of their amenities. They're located in the 888 West Big Beaver building, where the Melting Pot is, and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance nearby, too.
The first thing you will notice when you walk in is how modern and airy the space is. It takes up the entire second floor of the 888 building.

There are many options to choose if you are interested in co-working: there are the common spaces located throughout the floor, as well as private offices. A few companies have already rented out corner office spaces at Sevenco, too.
There are even conference rooms if you need to conduct meetings.
On top of that, there is complimentary food and beverages offered for anyone working in the space, and other amenities like Keurigs and common "hangout" spaces.
There is a lot of privacy offered, as well - if you need to take a phone call, they have cute "Telephone Booth" areas, which reminded me a bit of the ones that the UM (Ann Arbor) Union used to have.

This is Sevenco's second co-working space: the first one is located in Irvine, CA.
Other amenities include an outdoor patio area for fresh air, kitchen areas stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, snacks, beer and wine, and break areas. There will also be a nursing and meditation room available for members. Additionally, advanced mail handling, a dedicated phone line, call screening and notary services are all available services for members.
My thoughts: this would be a great space to work if you work from home and want to get out of the house for a bit, or even if you work at a company that needs some office space. The offices themselves are very private, and even if you are working in the general "co-working" space in the middle of the floor, there are still places to take phone calls and whatnot too if you need more privacy.
I myself work from an office, but if I ever needed to get away for a bit, or even just to work on some blog posts, I might find myself at Sevenco for the day, as I don't have space for a home office in my condo.

The walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting and a white noise generator work together to soften sound between the offices and common areas and privacy treatments are applied to office walls, but natural light still flows throughout the building for a welcoming environment.
