MOD Pizza announces seasonal pizza + salad {+ $25 giveaway! ends 2/22}
*Disclosure: I received a free meal at MOD Pizza in exchange for this blog post. The opinions expressed here, however, are my own.
If you've been following my blog for a while, you know I'm a big fan of MOD Pizza ... so when I was asked if I wanted to try its new seasonal pizza and salad, the answer was of course YES!
The seasonal MOD (which I found out this visit means Made On Demand - never knew that!) is the Phoenix pizza, which includes a white sauce, arugula & rosemary, asiago, Italian sausage, roasted mushrooms (a new ingredient!), roasted red peppers, and a balsamic fig glaze. It's 750 calories for an entire pizza which is pretty reasonable, too.
The seasonal salad includes kale, arugula, ricotta cheese, roasted red peppers and mushrooms, red onions, and a balsamic vinagrette, and has 150-590 calories, depending on what size you get.
The Phoenix pizza was DELICIOUS. I'm not usually a fan of white sauce, but I do like sweet sauces (like the balsamic fig glaze here), and I really, really liked this pizza—even more so than the more savory "make your own" pizza I also made for myself, which had a pesto drizzle on top and included chicken, pepperoni, mushrooms, and other toppings.
The salad was decent—I am not a big "salad person," and also not a big kale person, but I enjoyed the few bites that I took. My mom really enjoyed the salad, though, as well as her pizza.
Balsamic fig glaze, like the Phoenix is topped with, is a choice for a drizzle finish on your pizza, and I usually get that or the pesto drizzle. There's a new Mike's Hot Honey choice, or you could also choose red sauce dollops, hot buffalo sauce, a BBQ swirl, ranch, or sri-rancha (sriracha ranch).
The cinnamon sticks, especially with a cinnamon dipping sauce, are a MUST for dessert at MOD, too ... so good. We also tried their homemade version of a dark chocolate Ding Dong, which was delicious—and, best of all, had no artificial ingredients in it. {none of MOD's menu items have any artificial ingredients!}
Big thanks to the MOD Northville team including the new manager, John, for accommodating us {and letting us eat a little too much pizza, ha ...}. And definitely check out MOD and the new seasonal pizza and salad if you haven't already!
